Student Pastor - Tim Hughes

Tim was born in Houston, TX at a very young age and was very close to his mother. While many children worked diligently and maintained high ambitions, Tim had none of those qualities. Given his natural tendency to “slack off” Tim barely scraped through Kindergarten after the third try.

Tragedy struck early in the form of the malevolent Chuck E. Cheese. The lure of the skee ball and the Whack-A-Mole drove young Tim to abandon his dreams altogether. He became completely non-productive for several years, slacking his way through high school, and forgoing college.

Fortunately, Tim got back on track in 2002 and decided to finish college after a tedious 5 years. Evidently decision is not enough so after an additional 2 years Tim FINALLY graduated from Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO. Oak Lake Baptist Church realized that many people go to college for 7 years. They are, however, typically called Doctor.

As to why Oak Lake Baptist Church hired Tim, details become sketchy. Some suggest that Tim blackmailed Pastor Hill or even some members of the church.

For whatever fate that brought Tim to our staff we are certainly glad he ministers with us! He’s done an incredible job in our youth department!

For those without a discernable sense of humor, this biography is completely made up. Tim is actually not this exciting.
