We will be having a day devoted to Baptist Bible College on October 22nd here at Oak Lake! During the course of the day you will learn about different projects going on at BBC, what the school is all about, and how we can help to make the school a better place for our students now and in the future! It will be a great day…don’t miss it!
It’s only a little over a month until Friend Day will be here! You had been told previously about different prizes in each age group for the person that brings the most friends. In order to get these prizes you must have a minimum of 3 guests with you that day! The adult that brings the most friends will receive 2 Texans football tickets! The teen who wins will receive an iPod, and the child that wins will receive a gift card to Incredible Pizza!
It’s important that you start lining up friends now! There is even a way to get them registered before that day. In the foyer are ads that ask for all of your guest’s information. Just have them fill it out and you bring it in! God is going to do some amazing things, and we are so excited to see what exactly those are!
We will be having a Fall Festival on Saturday, October 28th from 1-5 in the afternoon! There is a sign up list in the lobby for our needs. This will be a great reach out to the community! Come out and watch the kids enjoy the moonwalk and gifts. If you would like to contribute, please mark your envelope “Festivalâ€.
The ladies at Oak Lake will be leaving for a Ladies Retreat at Northpark Baptist Church in Humble this Friday! We would like to leave the church no later than 3:00 p.m. in order to avoid some of the afternoon traffic. If you have not paid for your hotel and retreat fee, please see Kristi Hughes or Mrs. Hill to do so! Please let us know ASAP if you would still like to attend!
The choir has officially begun working on the Christmas Cantata for 2006! If you are a choir member that has gone astray or someone that would like to become a member, WE NEED YOU!! The choir practices on Wednesday evenings @ 7:00 p.m. and Sunday afternoons @ 4:45 p.m. Come be a part of this very special presentation.

It’s not too late to sign up to go on the Ladies’ Retreat, September 29th and 30th. The cost is $30.00 for the retreat plus hotel accommodations. Each hotel room will cost $64.00 for the night. Your ending total will depend on how many ladies you want to put in your room. We must know by today! If you are interested, please contact Kristi Hughes.
