Welcome back to our junior campers and their counselors! We took a total of 16 campers and sponsors to Texoma Baptist Youth Camp near Sherman. The kids had a great time at camp this past week! They were definitely kept busy with all the games, swimming, and services that were on their schedule. In the mornings, they watched a continuing story in the form of a movie. This was their favorite part of the day! In the evening, they had services with J.K. Hill as their speaker. The campers were taught how to worship God in song, and many made decisions in their relationship with Jesus! In all, they had over 15 salvation decisions this past week! Praise the Lord for the faith of children in our Lord!
Today will be our 5th Sunday Dinner! Please stay and enjoy what the wonderful cooks in our church have cooked up for you! The meal will begin immediately following this morning’s service! Stay and enjoy some fellowship around some delicious food!
David Rohr will be with us the evening in our services. He was one of the speakers at our youth camp just a few weeks ago! The teens enjoyed him and we know you will as well! Come out tonight to support our missionary to Brazil.
A new session of AWANA begins Sunday, the 13th of August, at 5:30 p.m.!! We need workers, listeners, and helpers to work with our children. Jeff Hutchinson will be our leader, so let’s help him get this started right!
VBS is only one week away! It begins Monday morning, the 7th of August, at 10:00 a.m. We have a good program lined up, so invite your neighbors and friends and bring a carload. We need helpers with the children, kitchen help, and food donations. We will have puppets and many other activities. We will also have our annual penny offering between the boys and girls! A list is on the foyer table of our needs.
A new session of Bible study will begin on Wednesday, September the 6th, at 9:45 a.m. and also Saturday morning, September the 9th, at 8:00 a.m. here at the church. Mrs. Karen Wyborny will again be our leader and we will be studying, “The Patriarchsâ€, by Beth Moore. We have done several studies by this author and this is another great study. This is an eleven week course and you will profit greatly by attending. All ladies are welcome! Please contact Karen Wyborny here at the church or call (713)729-5411. I pray, you pray, we all pray…well…sometimes. Last week, we looked at the benefits of prayer. This week, let’s take a look at a prayer list that we can all use in our daily prayer life. Some One is praying for you, are you praying for someone?

We will be leaving for Jr. Camp at Lake Texoma, today at 2:00 p.m . We would like to leave by 2:00, so try and be here a few minutes early so we can get packed up and ready to go! Each child will need $10.00 for meals on the way there and on the way back. We can’t wait to see what God is going to do this week!
Our 5th Sunday lunch is coming up the 30th of this month! Everyone is invited to bring your dinner and spread it together for a great time of fellowship! A sign up sheet is on the foyer table or call the church office. We have the best cooks in the world, so get your taste buds ready!
VBS is coming!!! This year we will have VBS August the 7th-11th. There is a sign up list in the foyer for the various areas that we will need help in. We will also be serving lunch again this year to the kids. If you would like to donate funds toward the food, please mark your envelope “VBS foodâ€. Any help would be greatly appreciated! There are plenty of areas to serve, so don’t be shy!

A group of our people will be leaving this Tuesday morning to head to Saltillo, Mexico! While there, they will be attending a conference and also helping to run a VBS for over 1500 kids! They will be returning from their trip on Saturday, the 22nd . Please keep them in your prayers as they travel and share God’s love with the Mexican people in Saltillo!
We will be leaving for Jr. Camp at Lake Texoma, next Sunday the 23rd, at 2:00 p.m. It is not too late for your child to sign up and go with us!  The cost is $110.00 and they will need money for food on the way and on the way back. . If your child needs help financially, please let us know. We would like for all who would like to go, to be able to attend! The sign up sheet is in the foyer for those wishing to attend.

As you know, the juniors will be going to camp July 23rd - 28th. A month or so ago we passed out little canisters of M&M minis to those who wanted to help. There are still a few canisters still out there that need to be collected.  When you fill it with quarters, please bring it to Mrs. Hill or Kristi Hughes. Your participation is greatly appreciated!
